Bespoke Wedding Ceremony
STEP 1: Let's Kōrero
We’ll catch up in person or over the phone — whatever suits you best — to talk through your wedding day, vision, and what you’re dreaming of for your ceremony. This is a relaxed space for us to see if I’m the right fit for you both.
STEP 2: Letter of Agreement
I’ll send you a Letter of Agreement outlining what’s included in your chosen package, along with my terms, conditions, and refund policy. To secure your date, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required within 14 days of signing.
STEP 3: Your Love Story Questionnaire
You’ll receive a fun and thoughtful questionnaire to help me get to know your journey — how you met, what you adore about each other, and what makes your relationship special. I use your answers to craft a ceremony that’s truly personal and meaningful.
STEP 4: Ceremony Runsheet
I’ll create a detailed runsheet showing how your ceremony will flow — from entrances and readings to vows, ring exchange, and special touches like karakia or cultural elements. This ensures everyone, including your venue coordinator and vendors, knows exactly what’s happening and when.
STEP 5: Personalised Ceremony Script
Your fully customised ceremony script will be ready at least 3 weeks before your wedding. We’ll refine it together until it feels perfect — or, if you’d prefer to be surprised on the day, we can keep it under wraps so it feels completely authentic in the moment.
STEP 6: Marriage Licence
You’ll apply for your marriage licence at least 2 weeks before your ceremony and send it through to me. I’ll print and bring all the official documents on the day, so you can relax knowing everything’s taken care of.
STEP 7: Rehearsal
We’ll hold a relaxed rehearsal with your wedding party (and anyone walking you down the aisle) either the day before or earlier that week. This helps everyone feel confident, calm, and ready for the big moment.
STEP 8: The Big Day
Your wedding day is here! I’ll officiate your ceremony with warmth, care, and precision — ensuring everything runs smoothly and feels magical. Afterwards, I’ll lodge all the legal paperwork with the Department of Internal Affairs.
