THERESA RORASON-HOPE
INDEPENDENT MARRIAGE CELEBRANT
Kia ora e te whānau, Talofa lava, Mālō e lelei, and Nau mai, haere mai.
Congratulations on finding your person!
Ko Theresa Rorason-Hope tōku ingoa, and I’m a registered Tohunga Marena (Marriage Celebrant) based in beautiful Pōkeno.
“Choose your love, love your choice.”- Thomas S. Monson, 16th president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Your wedding day is the perfect reflection of that — a celebration of love, unity, laughter, and everything that makes your story unique.
Whether you’re planning a big, joy-filled celebration, an intimate elopement, a short and sweet ceremony with your whānau, or a heartfelt vow renewal surrounded by your tamariki — I’m here to craft and officiate a ceremony that feels real, authentic, and completely you.
As a Māori, Tongan, and Samoan woman, I honour the richness of culture and connection. I love weaving touches of Te Reo Māori and Pacific traditions into each ceremony from a gentle greeting, whakataukī (proverb), or karakia (prayer), to acknowledging your whakapapa (ancestry), whenua (land), and whānau (family). Every word is offered with aroha, mana, and respect celebrating who you are and where you come from.
My role is to bring your love story to life and to capture your laughter, your journey, your joy, and everything in between. Whether you imagine something romantic and emotional, relaxed and light-hearted, or full of laughs and good vibes, it would be my absolute privilege to help you create the ceremony of your dreams.
You can rest easy knowing your ceremony is in good hands. My goal is simple – to make sure you feel supported, relaxed, and happy on your special day.
Let’s kōrero and start creating a ceremony that celebrates your love, your culture, and your story.
I look forward to meeting with you soon.
Ngā mihi, Ia Manuia,
Theresa
